School Council
The School Council is established by legislation of the provincial Government to oversee the effective operation of the school. The Council has four areas of responsibility:
- To represent the educational interests of the school
- To advise on the quality of teaching and learning in the school
- To facilitate parent and community involvement; and
- To advise the School Board on matters of concern to the school and to the community
School Council meetings are open to the public and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend. Should you have an item of business you wish addressed by the Council, it must be submitted to the Chair or Principal at least one week in advance of a scheduled meeting or it will be included in the following month’s agenda.
