The annual Cap and Cown Ceremony was held on Thursday, December 18, 2008. For a complete list of the diplomas, awards, and scholarships presented at this year's ceremony, click here.
Saturday, November 22, the annual Language Arts Fair was held at the school. At that time, student work in the various strands of the English Language Arts curriculum was showcased. A number of parents and community members were in attendance.
The annual Remembrance Day Assembly was be held on Monday, November 10. Again this year we were very pleased with the opportunity to share this solemn occasion with members of the community, parents, and Legionnaires.
Thank you to the following for your participation: School Band and Choir, Folk Literaure class, Load & Go Players with Naomi Russell, Cadets, RCMP, Legionnaires, Mr. Ed Fitzgerald, Mr. Wilkinson, and Ms. Kearley.
The annual Health Fair was held this Thursday, November 6, in the school gymnasium from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Again this year Mr. Morgan and the Healthy Living 1200 class organized this event and hosted a variety of health-related displays. Thank you for a fine exhibition.
The All Souls' Drama Workshop was held at the school Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2. This was a unique opportunity for students interested in the performing arts to socialize with like-minded students from other schools in the district and participate in skills-based workshops with professionals.
This annual event is the brain-child of our own Ms. Kearley and we would like to say thank you for taking this concept and making it happen. As well, we sincerely appreciate the Eastern School District partnering with the school in providing financial support for this visionary initiaitve.
On Friday, September 26, students participated in a variety of fun activites as part of our annual Healthy Commotion Day. This is an initiative sponsored by the Department of Education to promote active and healthy lifestyles among students.
Thank you to Mr. Morgan and the Healthy Living 1200 class for organizing and coordinating the day's events.
As well, on that day we ran our annual penny-drive in support of the Bell Island Breast Cancer Awareness Group. This year $865.00 was collected in pennies. Thank you for your support.
